I bought the new red model in conjunction with the Heart Association and it looks modern and sleek on my counter and takes up no more room than an ordinary toaster, allowing me to replace two appliances with one. There are side racks that close when you depress the lever and hold any size bread or English muffin securely--no more dropping into the oven. I love it. All the criticisms in the 1 and 2 star reviews have been corrected by Hamilton Beach. There is now a button to eject toast which doesn't shoot them to the ceiling. Yay.
It does look nice and is easy to keep clean looking though. It also gets very hot and burns food easily without cooking it through to the inside. The oven part is fine for toasting bagels or a slice of pizza but you could never fit a small frozen pizza. If you put a whole pepper in there to roast or even a hoagie roll split open, it touches the top heating elements and burns your food. The toast slots don't go down far enough, so your bigger pieces of bread or bagels will stick out. Once you push it down the only way to manually pop it back up is to unplug it. More of a toaster or broiler than an "oven".
From poptarts, muffins, piazza, and waffles it works overtime each day. I found right here on Amazon.com. Thank you, thank you and delivery right to my door, who could ask for anything more. So happy to find this Hamilton Beach Toastation Oven on Amazon.com. My last one lasted over three years and I was hoping I could find the same thing which after much searching in stores, etc. Oh yes, and after the lengthly time I found the exact model.
It's a little too narrow front-to-back to fit much in. The toaster feature works great though. I wish I could have seen this product before I bought it. It also seems to burn things easily.
This is a nice all-in-one as long as you don't need to heat large items in the oven section, which is quite small.
